Our therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology up to 7 days a week. Each individual is evaluated by our therapy team and, if needed, will receive the appropriate amount of these therapies. An individualized plan of care is established with the interdisciplinary team and physician to meet each resident’s therapy goals.

Speech-language Pathology


Speech-language pathology specializes in the recovery of speech, language, cognitive and swallowing functions. Our speech language pathologists provide hearing screenings and a variety of services designed to assist the individual to develop effective communication and swallowing skills.

Speech/language Pathology programs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Re-education in speech and language skills following stroke, head injury or other trauma
  • Evaluation, selection and implementation of augmentative and alternative communications systems for those with severe speech problems
  • Hearing Screenings


  • Aid in the development of cognitive skills, such as memory, problem solving and reasoning
  • Evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders to safely meet nutrition and hydration needs
  • Specialty services in tracheostomy care

 


Occupational Therapy


Occupational therapy employs goal-directed activities to treat those whose ability to function has been impaired by illness, injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or injury. Our goal is to bring each patient to his or her optimal level of function.

Occupational Therapy treatment programs may include, but not limited to:

  •  Education and Training in Daily Living Skills
  • Sensorimotor Treatments
  • Therapeutic Activities and Programs
  • Orthotic/Prosthetic Management
  • Perceptual Testing
  • Home Assessment
  • Evaluation for, and Fabrication of, Splints  and Positioning Devices
  • Equipment Recommendations

Physical Therapy


Physical therapy is the identification, remediation and rehabilitation of acute or prolonged physical dysfunction and limitations to normal movement. This specialty addresses the needs of individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, neurological insult, wounds or pain and weakness as a result of illness of injury.

Physical Therapy treatment programs may include, but are not limited to:
